Preparing the backlog and ownership for a dedicated software team
Adding developers to a product does not answer the question of what they should build next. A dedicated development team needs a usable backlog, access to product context, and someone who can make decisions. Without those inputs, extra capacity can become a queue of unanswered questions. Define the area of responsibility the team will own. That might be one part of a product or a sequence of application releases. Make dependencies on your internal team explicit. If anoth
